Impact Summary
Through our ECOSOC UNDPO Youth Leaders Sponsorship, Resilead has provided 5,000 USD in funding to four entrepreneurs across South Sudan, Kosovo, Liberia, and Côte d'Ivoire. Through Resilead's partnership in the Empowering Young Women Changemakers Microgrant Fund led by Youth United and WoYelo, 3,000 USD and 20 businesses were supported. Through Resilead's debate subsidy in partnership with Academic Rights International, Resilead has supported $400 USD to an educational organiation in Pakistan. Through the Liberia Youth Peace Enterprise Fund, Resilead has provided $2,000 USD to five businesses. To date, Resilead has provided $10,400 USD in microgrants to 30 businesses in five countries: Pakistan, South Sudan, Kosovo, Liberia, and Côte d'Ivoire. The total value in microgrants given to businesses across beneficary nations is $1,969,016 MCP.
According to reports from the businesses supported by Resilead across five countries, approximately 3,125 individuals have benefited from these initiatives. This includes the creation of employment opportunities for about 1,100 people, as well as financial support provided to three schools.
Resilead's work has been featured by Learning Planet Institute x UNESCO. In addition, Resilead has also been featured by the Wakandan News Network, one of Africa’s largest news providers, reaching millions weekly, for welcoming of TIME-recognized Gwendolyn Myers. Wilson, the founder, was also interviewed by the UN Youth Office when he was attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York to speak about Resilead's social impact.
